Lily's Blessing Day

November 27th Lily was blessed. My parents and brothers came up the Friday after Thanksgiving for it. It was beautiful. She usually doesn't like being held like that and she was in the middle of a feeding when she went up with Luke, so it was a recipe for some noise but she was so quiet until she came back down and then finished off her food. She was blessed with "the courage of Esther". It was surreal seeing my husband, which still feels like my boyfriend blessing our baby.

She has so much personality already...got the tongue and eyes going!
Uncle Dylan loves her, he would feed her a bottle and tote her around. He will be a great dad.

My dad is holding his only daughters little girl wearing the same dress as me, which was made by his mother, who also made Lily's blessing blanket. Two generations of Grandma Lemon's sewing talents.

My sister in law Jennifer had her daughter Kirsten back in August, so we got a picture of the two of them in their blessing dresses. They will be best buds. I can already tell. They seemed to mesh and share each others sleeping schedules well.

She is such a gift, Christmas came early this year!
Daddy's Girl
She was an angel...who was tired and slept from 11-6:30 the next morning.

Thanksgiving

The festivities started the night before when Jacob and Jennifer came up from Utah, Sam and Alex followed and we broke out one of the best games ever!

Lily and Grandma Galloway Thanksgiving morning.

Table is all set and ready to go.
I didn't get a picture before it was carved...sad little turkey

Some of the spread.

She was ready to eat!
Jonathan's obviously loving the meal
Too bad Lily can't partake of the good food. You will have to wait until next year.

1 Month Old!

I should be cleaning up the house but I figure the dishes can wait. So while you are sleeping I will tell you a little about your first month. Time feels like I have had you in my life forever, but I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving.
You love to eat, especially at night. You are an amazing sleeper. Last night you were out from 9 pm- 4:30 am. I'm really lucky, you were sleeping a solid 5 hours at night by your second week. You make cute noises, seems like you come up with new ones every day. Your dad says you make little puppy sounds, you made a noise while you were sleeping last night which I think inspires a new nickname, TigerLily!
You only cry when you are hungry, making me a surprise in your pants or sleepy.

First Trip Outside

She was about a week old and we decided to get out of the house but not go too far. So we took off around the neighborhood. As you can tell by Luke's face he is done smiling for the camera.

Her first slide ride, not that she will remember. I thought it was funny that she has her hand on top of her head.

 And they're done!

Daddy's Girl

Luke has a talent shall we say when missy L is irritated, he goes over to the computer and puts on this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eh3iysQG_I after a couple verses she is out. Luke said this song is the only reason I was supposed to watch that show :)
Notice the amazing multitasker, Xbox is no problem as long as she is asleep!
He did try to put her in her swing, but hello what girl wouldn't want to sleep on this studdly man's chest.
And it all started here.

Sunday

I thought I would prove to everyone out there that I finally put a bow on this girl today! She didn't mind it. As for the outfit I'm sad to report that it was a casualty, as well as the new white stockings of the BLOW OUT monster...lets pray to the bleach gods!

Lily's 1st Sunday (16 days old) went something like this. get all dressed up,I have to take a picture, get in the car, get out of the car, into the church building,  3 hours later get back in the car, get out of the car, and I took a picture.

Halloween

10 days old and it's Halloween. Here is our little pink skeleton. She wore this ALL day, Luke's company has a trick or treat office party where the employees bring their kids and go cube to cube getting candy. So naturally we wanted to show off her costume and show Luke's coworkers the little buddle of bones. She was great the whole time, that's because she was asleep in her car seat, the best way to view a baby. When the trick or treaters made their rounds in our neighborhood Luke answered the door with her in the baby bjorn. She only likes being in that thing when Luke has it on. So Halloween went great, so excited for next year when she will be a little bit older.
