Lily Faces

I love this picture of Lily
IT might be because she looks a little ginger in it. And I might have envied little red heads.
Let's face it. God gave me a red head in a brunettes body...crafty crafty man. Heaven knows she has got the spunk, as evident by all the many faces of Lily within the ten minutes of her spinning Madilyn around the room.

Most Everyday I get told what to do
And so does this sweet girl.... I think Madilyn had her break from Lily for two years before she joined our family. But only Lily can make her really really laugh.

Her gross face :)

Twins or Sisters?

Let me preface this post by saying I did not have sisters ...HOWEVER I did have girl cousins and my mother 'occaionally' dressed us similarly. Needless to say having two girls comes with the matching outfit territory.
I got these three sets of shirts online at oldnavy. LOVE them.... worth the > $4 for each!

Apparently (Said like the apparently kid) Lily is hungry and Madilyn knows it!

A good roll in the leaves

Lily is looking at her because Madilyn is in the grabbing stage and anything, including Lily's hair, is fair game....
and so is the flash on my camera and the alien looks :)
PS this is a 2T shirt on my not even 6 month old, good thing I got a size up!

Frozen

So I opened the blinds this morning and noticed the beautiful diamonds all around outside. Really I just wanted to take a picture of the red barn from my window. Who gets to look at something like that everyday...unless you live next to a barn. It puts me into a Charlotte's web kinda mood.
Speaking of things being frozen Lily has been dawning her 'cape' lately and as always wants to run around in it....don't let the song get stuck in your head.
PS Thanks Melissa

crib tales

I let Lily get in Madilyn's bed, figured better to let her 'play' supervised since she just loves to be hands on with her sister. And I liked lily's idea of putting her pants on after she goes to the bathroom....hehehe the little things to be grateful for.

pictures taken on 10/8/14

almost photo session

I was taking pictures of Madilyn in her swing asleep and the awake ones will have to do for now until I get some edited.

Family/ Maternity Pictures

I know, WAY late! I get credit for even going back to May. I just love these so much that I wanted to share them and the talent of my friend and personal photographer Melissa. I had her watermark them because I know they are that good. IF they were to ever end up floating around on the web she should have the credit.....
These two are blown up, like my 38 week belly at my house and are prominently displayed as to remind me every time I see them how amazing they are.

Aw, Uncle Eric's favorite part! The built in belly button timer....so sad, he left on Monday not to be seen for two more years.
 LOVE.
No wonder where that 22 inch baby came from, her daddy is tall.
This one is bee U tiful!

Falling

As we sat and ate dinner I thought I should take pictures of the girls and the leaves before the are gone. Well nothing like the present to get things done, before it goes by! Sweaters, hats and a blanket and I got some pretty 'pretty' shots.
We went out to the 'park'

 Sweet girls

Don't let these fool you, most looked something like this....
She is smothered in love that is for sure!

My dear friend made this hat for Lily for her birthday. Her baby girl died this week and I have been thinking about life and the ryhme and reason to it all. Then this quote came to mind, "Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come." -Jeffery R Holland
and in Lily's room I have a picture of flowers and this quote by Neil A Maxwell, "Faith in God includes Faith in His timing".
There is always someone who has it worse and it just makes you count your blessings, and tonight I will count them twice!

Madilyn Newborn

I had our great family friend take these of Madilyn and us. She was 9 days old and really alert. I had no idea how much time went into getting pictures of a baby. It was at least a few hours. I love the pictures and they are hanging in various places in the house.
I laugh at this one now, only because lily did not want to touch or hold the baby and you can tell with that look on her face and not knowing what to do with her hands. Now I can't get the big sister to leave her alone!

Ba haha, Pinterest fail! No harm was done to the baby pictured above, it was just a coincidence it looks like she is kicking her and the baby is crying.

Sweet pictures!!!! Thanks to Melissa and her photography business.
