Table Talk

We decided the table needed some serious TLC. It has been with us for three years and more than that with my parents, it is the table I grew up with.Love the table and its well worth investing the time in this beastly table.

 Went to Lowes and got everything we would need, including a sander.Took a whole Saturday to strip it and sand it down.

 What do Lily and I do while Luke is on a mission? Go on a walk of course, I like to sweat differently than Luke.

We came back to stain it on Monday night after Lily went to bed. So we were in the garage til 11:30 staining. Now that's my idea of a date night (really?!)

Then I finished the table off with coats of polyurethane on conference weekend.

It looks darker in person but someday when the duck tape falls off the chairs and they buckle we will invest in some black wood chairs and make many more memories at this table.
